Cafe Supervisor

Start: ASAP Where: Takapuna, Auckland Type: Part time / casual Pay: On application

JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for an hands on Cafe Supervisor. This is an exciting part time position in a unique cafe environment.

Love your evenings and weekends? This part time position is 27.5 hours per week, usually to be worked between 6.30am - 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.

You'll need to be a great barista; be able to plan, cost and create delicious food for our cabinet and catering orders; manage and order stock; supervise a small team; and complete accurate food safety records to comply with council requirements.

Flourish Cafe is owned/run by Project Employ, a local charity that provides training and work experience to neurodiverse young adults, so you'll need to be organised, calm, willing to work alongside our Job Coaches and trainees, and have an excellent command of the English language. You must also be motivated to share your hospitality skills with others to help them thrive.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

All-rounder

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have experience in hospitality; be organised and due to the nature of our training cafe, be patient with excellent communication skills.

Located in the heart of Takapuna, the Project Employ Café will be open to the public Monday - Friday. Serving delicious coffee, and mouth watering savouries and cakes, every purchase made will go directly towards helping Project Employ trainees fulfill their dream of gaining meaningful, paid employment. The Project Employ Café will provide a genuine stepping-stone to employment and independence for our trainees, creating life-changing opportunities.
